Trading sticks is a currency related to the Whomping Woods minigame. It can be spent in Barlock's shop, for various different items, and rank boosts.

Item sources
For each achey tree log you deposit into the ceremonial firepit, you get 3 Trading sticks.
Each time you hit the Whomping Willow at the end of the minigame, you get X amount of Trading sticks, depending on which axe you have equipped. This does not mean you get more rolls on the unique table, just more trading sticks per swing.
NOTE: Axes are affected by the Swift Strike Perk.
